Coronavirus / COVID19 Update:

As you know Brecknock Primary School is currently closed to most children apart from children of key workers.  If you think you may be a key worker and require support during the period of school closure please do email or telephone us.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your understanding during the current unprecedented situation.   Whilst your children are at home with you we would love it if you could keep some of the learning happening (look at the learning section of our website) but the priority needs to be your own health and that of your children.  None of us have lived through a world event such as this and I suspect many of you are struggling to comprehend the measures we are having to take.  Talking to your children so they understand the situation, giving them lots of love, attention and reassurance needs to be priority.  They may need to talk to your about what they are hearing in the media, their feelings and worries.  Giving special times for this is important in these early days.

I have attached a letter dated 23rd March which hopefully gives you some reassurance and support.  I am in school everyday alongside other staff so if you need us just call or email. Keep checking this section of the website for parent updates and the learning section for ideas and tips for what you can do at home.

Take care

Cal & the Brecknock Team
