This half term Year 3 are exploring the book, ‘The Iron Man’ by Ted Hughes. We used drama and music to explore the start of the book. children used different musical instruments to create a soundscape for when we meet the Iron Man. We then used freeze frame as well as conscience ally to explore how character’s felt when they met him. This immersion of the text allowed children to get to know the character and understand the mood of the text.
