Worms, worms, worms

We have begun learning about lots of different types of insects as part of our topic, but we thought it would be fun to find out about some of the other insects that live near plants, too—like worms! First, we played a game called quiz, quiz trade to learn about worms, then we learned some actions to help us remember key facts about our wiggly friends. We learned facts such as- a worm’s body is made up of tiny parts called segments, and that worm poo is called pellets! Next, we did some different activities to consolidate our learning, like matching the correct definition to right key word.

After this we went down to the allotment

We are going to use this learning to support us writing our own non-fiction texts.
