Natural History Museum – Evolution and Adaptation

This week Year 6 went to the Natural History Museum to further our learning about Darwin’s theory of Natural Selection and Human evolution. We had the opportunity to explore the Human evolution section, where pupils were shocked by a full size Neanderthal man peering back at them from his glass case. In the Darwin Centre we saw some beautiful drawings of the flower and fauna he observed while on the Galapagos Islands. We participated in a workshop that explored different forms of animal adaptations and the timeline of living things, more than 4.5 billion years ago!!
