Havana a good time in Cuba looking after our body.

Last half term, we started to learn more about how to look after our body.  It was amazing to see the children engaged in Physical Education (a passion of mine).

We were lucky enough to have an hour of football inspired mini-games with Arsenal Football coaches. The highlight was when Anna declared with joy, “I thought this would be terrible because I usually don’t like football but it is so much fun!”

Today we continued this learning by considering whether we have the right balance of sleep, water, exercise and healthy food … have you got the balance right?

The children then did relay races of: crab walks, back crawls, broad jumps, sprints and star jumps against the clock.

Prizes went to:

– Hayley for not giving up at the last moment!

– 4 out of 5 of the groups for beating their personal best!

– Zoe for supporting and encouraging her team!

– Khadija and Tanima for their resilience!

Leaving your comfort zone is exciting!

Embracing challenges are fun!

If we always stick to what is comfortable life would be a bit boring.
