Today we celebrated the Mexican Festival ‘Day of the Dead’ as part of our Myths and Legends topic. We learned about the combination of Mayan, Aztec and Chritsian beliefs that have come together to create this day of remembrance. The children listened to some traditional ‘Day of the Dead’ music, found out about the importance of this festival to Mexican people, heard some ghost legends and made their own masks to wear.
