The school is committed to ensuring all children make rapid progress from whatever his or her starting point, ‘no child will be missed and no child will fall behind’. Provision is matched to the needs of each and every child to ensure that not a moment in school is wasted. The school received a letter from Sam Gyimah, the Under Secretary of State for Childcare and Education, which states that between 2011 and 2016 the school was ‘one of the highest achieving in the country in terms of the attainment and progress of disadvantaged pupils’. In 2018, Sadiq Khan named Brecknock as one of his ‘Schools For Success’ to celebrate the school’s achievements in supporting pupils needing extra help to fulfill their potential.

The Performance Tables are produced by the Department for Education (DfE). They give information on the achievements of pupils in primary, secondary and 16-18 provision in schools and colleges, and how they compare with other schools in the Local Authority (LA) area and in England as a whole. From 2011 the scope of the tables was changed to display a wider range of key performance measures including information on finance, absence, school workforce and the most recent Ofsted reports. The data currently shown is for academic year 2015-16. The most up to date data should be available by the end of December 2017.
