As well as enjoying their ‘Media Magic’ topic, Year 2 have been learning about Light and Sound in Science. To combine these areas of learning, they visited the Phoenix Cinema in East Finchley to take part in an interactive shadow puppet workshop. The children learnt about the history of the cinema and enjoyed experimenting making shadows with their hands. For the final activity the children worked as a class to retell the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears by making shadow puppets and adding sound effects.
