Today, we started reading Philip Pullman’s Clockwork. In the opening pages of the book, Pullman describes a small town in Germany. He used lots of descriptive
language, which we were able to use to imagine what the setting looked like. Using this image, we re-created the scene using charcoal. We also picked out key phrases and annotated our sketches.
