Message from the Head

I am delighted to be the newly appointed Headteacher of Brecknock Primary School.  I joined the school and Local Authority in September 2019 bringing with me many years of Headship experience.  I know already that Brecknock is a happy and successful two form entry primary school.  It thrives within the London Borough of Camden. There are many special things about Brecknock not least that our children and families can start by attending community drop-in/stay and play sessions from the time they are born, attend our two-year old provision or Nursery at three and leave ready for secondary school at eleven.

Brecknock children and teachers come from a wide range of backgrounds and reflect the richness of our local community. Together we share aspirations; to ensure that children achieve the highest standards academically and socially, that they are taught in a way which challenges their thinking, stimulates their interests and harnesses their ideas.

I am proud of Brecknock’s academic achievements and its creative, culturally rich curriculum but most of all I am proud of our children, who cherish learning and know what their responsibilities are for their own education and the whole school community.

Visitors to the school often comment on the purposefulness and warmth they find in children and staff. Please contact the office to arrange a visit to see our brilliant school in action for yourself. We will look forward to welcoming you.
