School Council’s Campaign to widen the pavement outside EYFS

Our school council have written a letter to the local council regarding the pavement outside school, specifically outside the Early Years entrance. They feel, as do we, that this pavement is too narrow and leads to lots of problems for the school community and other pedestrians.

The letter they sent is below (click the image to open). We have been contacted by the council via phone and we expect an official written response in early December.

One of our community governors, Councillor Phil Jones, has also contacted the council to state his support for the idea. If any of you would like to contact the council too to support the idea of having the pavement widened we think it will help press home to the council that there is a lot of support for this in the local community.

If you would like to sign the online petition regarding this please click here.

We will keep you posted with any developments.
