Brecknock raises over £3000 to support Cancer Research UK!

UPDATE: It can now be confirmed that Brecknock Primary School raised over £3000 for Cancer Research. WOW! A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the run, provided food for the sale and, of course, contributed to the staggering total. Brilliant Brecknock strikes again!

This half term at Brecknock we are going to be raising money for Cancer Research UK. As a school we will run a half marathon on 17th July 2017 with every child taking part. Through this we aim to raise £1500 to support the ground breaking work of this charity. There will be a number of exciting events taking place in and around school including: making and selling clay tiles, a dress down day and the sponsored run. Please support Brecknock in this opportunity to help others in our community and across the UK.

The children will be running 1km or 2km and are asking for sponsorship for their part of the run.
You can donate to this cause in two ways:

1- Go to our fundraising page at
https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/brecknock-primary

Click donate and add your details. In the message box please add the name of the child you are donating on behalf of and their year group (if there is not a particular child that is also ok).
By donating this way you can select a gift aid option which at no extra cost further supports the charity.

2- Complete the sponsorship form which children are bringing home. Only fill this in if you are sponsoring them with cash. If you would like a form please ask a member of staff.

The last day for donations is 14th July 2017.

We greatly appreciate your support,

Brecknock
